The WDC is establishing a Business Advisory Group to help it become "more business friendly".

They say, "The purpose of the Business Advisory Group is to provide Council with information and ideas and to allow Council to get early feedback on our ideas. The proposal involves inviting the Chamber of Commerce (and possibly other business organisations) to nominate four to six people to be on the Business Advisory Group. The group would meet regularly to discuss what things Council may want to consider to promote local businesses and to respond to proposals that may shortly come before Council. Council would cover the costs of setting up and reporting on the meetings but no meeting fees would be payable to members."
